There are a lot of random good things about the high school DH and I attended. One of them was Mrs. Miller.
Mrs. Miller is a Health/PE teacher; and she scared me s***less about STDs. I've always thanked her for that. Tonight I was reminded why.
I'm currently in a Human Reproduction and Embryology class (the other 3/6 Science credits needed), and tonight's topic was Sexually Transmitted Infections. It got very graphic, very quickly. Although this was a community college, I was shocked at how many people had never seen, or HEARD of this stuff before. Um, hello? You're how old and didn't know what Chlamydia does to you? Yikes. No wonder STDs are on the rise.
All I have to say is, I'm glad I've long been aware of the benefits of monogamy! Nothing works as well for selling abstinence and monogamy like a picture of a chancre or some genital warts!
On another note, an old guy was caught...um...doing something naughty while I was shopping in Old Navy today. I guess today was just a very graphic kind of day.
