2010

As the year is quickly coming to a close, I've been reflecting back on what the past year has held.  I think this is one of those that is better posted in pictures, as I'm almost always found with my camera.

January: DH and I went on our honeymoon to New Zealand.  This photo was taken on our day cruise through the Milford Sound on the South Island.

February: DH turned 25.  Here he is, blowing out all of those lovely candles.  :)

March: A momentous occasion occurred--I managed to keep a plant alive for a whole year.  Better yet, it is still with us!

April: My cohort and I went to the Saint Louis Zoo for an in-depth learning experience about the various resources the Zoo has for elementary educators.  I *heart* penguins.

May: DH and I celebrated our first anniversary.  We spent the day at a winery and then had a lovely dinner out on the patio of the Boathouse in Forest Park.

June: We took a trip out to Colorado for Memorial Day weekend.  We spent a lot of time with my family, but took a day trip up to the mountains to visit one of my favorite places, Breckenridge.

July: We adopted a kitten!  When we got Noelle, she was so tiny, she could fit on DH's shoulder.  I was no longer outnumbered by males in the house!

August: This was a super busy month!  It started off with a visit from my in-laws (ILs).  We took them all over the city, including the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

September: Not only did I start student teaching, but we took 2 weekends away to attend weddings in Cincinnati, and Illinois.

October: Student teaching and grad school were in full swing.  I LOVED my student teaching experience.  I am so glad that I get to sub there!

November:  Probably one of the busiest, school-wise.  Although my student teaching was winding down, school was revving up.  I spent most of my days working at home with these guys...not that they seemed to mind my company.

December: The culmination of a big year--I finished my portfolio, "graduated" with my Masters, applied to get my Ph.D., and subbed a lot at the elementary school.  We then spent Christmas up in Illinois with my ILs, as well as my Dad.

Overall, gotta say, great 2010!
